Strategic Health + Wellness Support

HOLISTIC WELLNESS FOR OPTMAL HEALTH

HOLISTIC WELLNESS FOR OPTMAL HEALTH •

You know when something’s not right.

When the pressures of your career, your family, and life take over, it can feel like you’re drowning.

It may be hard to remember a time when you felt in control of your time, free to indulge in passions and hobbies and take care of your body. And if we’re being honest, constantly trying to meet your own high standards — on top of everything else — has left you physically drained and emotionally depleted.

Yet how often do you ignore your intuition — pushing through exhaustion, silencing the part of you that knows you need rest — and instead find yourself:

  • Doing it all because it’s faster, easier, or because only you know how... but secretly feeling burnt out and resentful?

  • Saying yes to every request out of fear of disappointing others, only to end up overcommitted, overstretched, with zero work-life balance?

  • Carrying the invisible weight of unrealistic expectations, a never-ending to-do list, and a racing mind that keeps you up at night?

  • Ignoring your basic needs — for rest, connection, nourishment, or even just a glass of water — because there’s never a convenient time?

  • Feeling like there’s never a moment for yourself: no time to exercise, plan a meal, or just breathe?

Sound familiar? You’re not alone.

There are myriad reasons why you are chronically stressed and burnt out. From societal expectations to gender stereotypes to inequalities in the workplace, you feel pressured to push yourself to the brink of exhaustion every. single. day.

How Does Holistic Health + Wellness Coaching Work?

“Amy, I’ve heard this before. How is this any different?”

You’re right to be cautious. The internet is full of quick fixes and oversimplified solutions. This work is different—not because it promises perfection, but because it’s strategic, deliberate, and designed for lasting change. >>>

  • This is a space where you don’t have to perform, explain, or justify your experience. I offer steady, informed support as we clarify your priorities, identify what has been getting in the way, and align your goals with your values and lived reality. My guidance is practical, personalized, and designed to help insight turn into action.

  • Sustainable change rarely comes from addressing one area of life in isolation. Together, we look beneath surface symptoms to understand the underlying factors shaping your well-being—across work, health, relationships, and daily rhythms. From there, we design a focused, realistic plan that supports balance and capacity in both your internal world and the life you’re living.

  • My work is grounded in established research from functional medicine, positive psychology, and cognitive and behavioral science. The goal is thoughtful application—helping you understand what works, why it works, and how to use it effectively in your own context.

My coach approach is:

Health + Wellness Coaching is not a One-Size-Fits-All Solution.

It’s a personalized, ongoing process of understanding what’s draining you, what supports you, and what needs to change over time.

And when what’s needed is clarity—not more coping—I also offer a Strategic Burnout & Capacity Audit: A one-time advisory session focused on diagnosing the real sources of strain and identifying where redesign will make the biggest difference.

“I met Amy at a particularly challenging point in my life, as I was clawing my way back to baseline after finishing treatment for life-threatening cancer and losing my home to a wildfire. My confidence and motivation were both very low. I was in survival mode. I found that her gentle, encouraging, and insightful coaching helped me to set achievable goals and to stop berating myself if I fell short- a powerful combination that enabled me to dust myself off and try again- until I got a bit stronger and set another manageable goal. Amy is a natural-born coach and will help many people achieve their health goals, one step at a time.”

The interdependent Dimensions of wellness

The Fundamentals of Balanced Wellness

In Functional Medicine, wellness is made up of multiple dimensions. These dimensions are interdependent—which means they rely on each other. If one dimension is out of balance, the other dimensions will be, too. In order to feel our best, we need to address each of them. Read on for some examples of what this could look like when we work together.

01. Nutrition

Make simple dietary changes to naturally support physical health and emotional well-being by adding healthy foods that heal and removing those that harm.

02. Sleep & Rest

Improve sleep quantity and quality, sleep hygiene and intentional rest. Learn how to truly take a break and feel comfortable with downtime.

03. Relationships

Set and maintain healthy boundaries, learn effective communication skills, advocate for yourself, and develop strategies for dealing with conflict.

04. Movement

Incorporate mindful, nourishing movement into your routine to support nervous system regulation. Discover ways to move your body that build strength from the inside out.

05. Environment

Recognize how your physical, digital, and work environments may be contributing to stress or burnout- and begin shaping spaces that support your well-being, focus, and energy.

06. Mindfulness

Learn to slow down, become present in the moment, recognize your inner critic, and respond with curiosity and self-compassion instead of judgment.

07. Play & Playfulness

Rediscover who you are beyond roles and responsibilities by making space for joy, creativity, and experiences that aren’t tied to achievement.

Coaching Works.

Here’s what one amazing client had to say about choosing coaching over another round of therapy- and how the experience exceeded her expectations:

I was so unsure about the idea of investing in a coach versus going back to therapy for another round. My instincts told me that I was ready for something different in that department and that I was wanting to focus more on my goals and future versus processing my past further.

Working with Amy has exceeded my expectations, and her approach is the perfect balance between pushing me and creating space for empathy and understanding.

I have benefitted from this process in ways I can't explain and have been able to sustain all of the recommendations and changes that we have partnered around.

Amy is truly a skilled coach with so much experience and expertise. I cannot recommend her enough.

Meet Your Well-being Architect.

Hi! I’m Amy Schamberg, a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, Functional Medicine Health Coach, and Professional Psychologist.

After 15 years in the public education and mental health fields, I’ve identified a recurring theme: Hard-working, ambitious, high-achievers who care deeply for others continue to find themselves teetering on the edge of burnout. Do any of these sound familiar?

  • You’re exhausted all the time- mentally, emotionally, and physically.

  • You have trouble telling one day from the next because you’re just trying to survive.

  • You feel like you’re giving so much of yourself, yet nothing you do is truly appreciated.

  • You’ve withdrawn socially because exhaustion makes connection feel like another demand.

  • You feel like you’re fighting an uphill battle you can never win.

  • Your productivity and performance fluctuate depending on the latest crisis.

  • You have trouble concentrating and often feel detached or “checked out.”

  • You’ve become cynical, numb, or find it hard to see the humor or good in things.

If this sounds like you, please know you’re not alone. I’ve been there too — stuck in my own burnout cycles, wondering if things would ever change. I found a way through, and now it’s my mission to help others do the same.

Burnout is a state of mental, emotional, and physical exhaustion brought on by prolonged, unmanaged, chronic stress.

Although the World Health Organization categorizes burnout as an “occupational phenomenon,” its manifestations can extend beyond the workplace, permeating other areas of life such as parenting, caretaking, or relationships.

Gaining confidence in setting boundaries, treating myself with kindness (and finally stopping the self-blame), and recognizing my unhelpful patterns were some of the hardest — and most transformative — lessons I had to learn to break free from burnout and find joy again. I had to completely redefine wellness, trading self-care checklists for genuine self-compassion, and learning what I needed to subtract in order to move forward.

Here’s the good news: when you start recognizing the thoughts, habits, and beliefs that no longer serve you — and replace them with ones that support your well-being — everything begins to shift. You reconnect with your passions. You rediscover your energy. You rebuild your relationships. And you finally start thriving beyond burnout.
