Discovering Denver's Top Gluten-Friendly Restaurants: A Health-Conscious Dining Guide

As a person managing a severe gluten sensitivity, discovering restaurants with meals I can enjoy has been an ongoing challenge. Fortunately, Denver—a health-conscious city—offers an array of dining options catering to diverse dietary needs.

From the sophisticated allure of Cherry Creek North to the diverse neighborhoods around downtown, Denver houses restaurants that prioritize locally sourced, organic ingredients, and gluten-friendly menus, emphasizing farm-to-table dining.

Let's delve into my top three favorite spots!

Gluten-friendly eateries in Cherry Creek North

First up is Cherry Creek Grill, an enduring Denver staple that has stood the test of time. This was one of the first restaurants I visited when I moved here nearly 20 years ago! The moment you step inside, you're greeted by the tantalizing aroma of wood-fired rotisserie meats being slowly cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with wood accents and soft lighting. It feels like a calming blend of modern elegance and classic charm. My absolute favorite dish, which I get nearly every time, is the Macho Salad. With rotisserie chicken, avocado, chopped dates and goat cheese, it’s absolutely to die for. Add in a grilled heirloom artichoke to share, and you’ll be going back for more! From casual happy hours with friends to Mother’s Day brunches with my husband and boys, this place definitely holds a special place in my heart.

Another gem in Cherry Creek North is True Food Kitchen. Rooted in nutritional science and on a mission “to  inspire you to eat better, feel better, and live better,” it’s the perfect restaurant for health-minded people. I love that there are plenty of gluten-friendly, vegan, and vegetarian options on the menu, and that all of their salads and bowls can be customized with a variety of proteins. The Seasonal Harvest Salad with chicken and Spicy Panang Curry Bowl with shrimp are my go-to choices, whether I'm hosting out-of-town guests, enjoying a casual lunch with colleagues, or on a relaxed day date with my husband.

Whole30 compliant restaurants in Denver

Last but not least….. Have you ever completed a Whole 30? And felt like you had to eat all of your meals at home for the month, because it was just way too difficult to find a W30 compliant restaurant meal? Well look no further than Just BE Kitchen, a fast-casual restaurant offering a menu entirely free of gluten, grain, refined sugar, dairy, soy, corn, and peanuts! Their dedicated Whole30 menu is a game-changer for those seeking to reset eating habits and revitalize energy. I love literally everything on the menu here, probably because it’s the only restaurant I’ve ever found where I can actually eat everything on the menu! Last September when my husband and I completed a Whole 30, we ordered pre-made meals for the week from Just BE Kitchen, which beyond helpful- not to mention delicious!

In conclusion…

So, there you have it—my top three gluten-friendly, healthy spots in Denver. What are your favorite health-conscious restaurants in your city?  Share your recommendations in the comments below, and let's keep the conversation about healthy dining thriving!
